Four boards, two ledges, no frame. Public Works built these by the hundred in the weeks after January 1907 and people lived behind them on North Street for longer than anyone intended.
The hinges were cut off before it reached us. The stencilled number on the back is the hut number, and it is the only record that hut existed.
