Six feet of cast rail in a repeating tree-fern pattern, with the foundry mark cast into the end post where the paint never reached. Vale Royal ran three patterns; this is the one that sold.
You can still find it on verandahs from Cross Roads to Above Rocks. Ours came off a house that was demolished in 1974 and it is on the floor so people can put a name to what they walk past.
