Zinc fence panel, hand cut

1994.8.2 c. 1985 Galvanised steel, timber 1,830 × 810 mm

A sheet of corrugated zinc cut down with a chisel, not shears, and nailed to two rails with roofing nails and their washers. The cut edge has been folded over twice so nobody cuts a hand on it.

It is in the register because the zinc fence is the most common piece of built fabric on this island and there was no example of one here.
